Irvine-based auto-focused fintech Digital Motors Corp. was acquired by Santa Monica-based TrueCar Inc. (Nasdaq: TRUE). Terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed.
TrueCar is an automotive pricing and information website for new and used car buyers. The deal is intended to help ramp up TrueCar’s plan to enhance its online marketplace, TrueCar+.
The Digital Motors online platform provides auto dealers, lenders and manufacturers a digital storefront, which offers a “seamless” omnichannel buying experience to customers, officials at TrueCar said in a statement.
