Debra Gunn Downing, South Coast Plaza’s executive director of marketing for almost 30 years, is retiring this year with Tenley Zinke as her successor.
The Costa Mesa shopping center, the largest in Orange County, reached annual taxable sales of $2.5 billion during Downing’s tenure.
Zinke was most previously vice president of corporate communications and community engagement at New York-based Kering. Her career includes leadership roles at brands such as LVMH, Polo Ralph Lauren, Net-A-Porter, Tiffany & Co. and Fendi.
