Kia Continues Ad Push Around K5

Irvine-based Kia Motors America’s investing big ad spend on its K5 midsize sedan.

The automaker’s broadcast efforts starts Tuesday with marketing before and during NBCUniversal’s “America’s Got Talent.”

Kia’s also working with ABC and the Television Academy on advertising throughout the Emmy Awards on Sept. 20 during which the K5 and Telluride will be marketed.

Kia’s K5 30- and 15-second spots, were created by the automaker’s creative agency of record David & Goliath.

The multi-channel marketing efforts around the K5 began in July when the automaker livestreamed on Twitter its campaign kick-off event. The campaign includes broadcast, print, digital and social.

The K5, which replaces Kia’s Optima sedan, has a starting price of $23,490.
