AAC Holdings Inc., a publicly traded operator of inpatient substance abuse treatment centers, is buying a hospital with a license for 84 beds in Aliso Viejo for $13.5 million, according to a news release.
Brentwood, Tenn.-based AAC would start to renovate and rehabilitate the facility in this year’s first half, with an eye toward getting a license “to operate as a Chemical Dependency Recovery Hospital.”
The facility will get 40 additional beds, and updates are expected to be completed in the first half of 2016, according to the release.
Arcadian at Aliso, an assistant-living and memory-care operator, currently occupies the hospital. It is expected to relocate to another facility in Aliso Viejo this year.
The seller was not disclosed.
