Ladera UAC Self Storage LLC recently sold more than 7 acres of land in Ladera Ranch to Strategic Storage Trust Inc. for $20.9 million. The buyer, which also has its headquarters in Ladera Ranch, recently planned to name the 1,000-unit facility SmartStop Self Storage. The property, which totals more than 114,000 square feet, is at 30 Terrace Road. The price per square foot for the self-storage facility is about $183. Strategic Storage is “the fifth public self storage company in the United States and the first self storage REIT in the public non-traded REIT marketplace,” according to its website. There were no brokers who participated in the deal.
