Westminster’s Redevelopment Agency paid $9.4 million for a 102,000-square-foot industrial building at 15172 Goldenwest Circle near Bolsa Avenue and the San Diego (I-405) Freeway. The city plans to use the site as a shooting range and for evidence storage for its police department. The building previously housed local operations of Universal Building Products, a maker of concrete and other construction products that went out of business. The company had sales and manufacturing operations in Westminster for nearly a decade. The city bought the building from Cornerstone Real Estate Funds for about $91 per square foot. Cornerstone was represented by Jeff Read of Grubb & Ellis Co. The city represented itself.
