San Jose-based mechanical contractor Critchfield Mechanical Inc. leased a 13,200-square-foot industrial building at 1821 McGaw Ave. in Irvine. Critchfield designs and builds heating, ventilation, air conditioning and plumbing systems. Clients have included Boy Scouts of America, the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, DeVry Institute, Embassy Suites, Honolulu Convention Center, Oakland Children’s Hospital and San Diego County Justice Center. Critchfield is relocating its Southern California office from about 5,500 square feet of space in a Costa Mesa building owned by Newport Beach-based Olen Properties Corp. The value of the five-year Irvine lease with landlord Cohen Group wasn’t disclosed. Phil Cohen and Matt Durkin of Lee & Associates represented Critchfield.
