Lake Forest-based construction and engineering company Primoris Services Corp. said Thursday it won three contracts with the Army Corps of Engineers in Louisiana worth $120 million over three years.
The contracts were awarded to Primoris’ James Construction Group LLC, based in Baton Rouge, La.
The contracts call for expansion of two interstate highways and the building of a floodwall and levee to protect against hurricane flooding.
The win follows the awarding of $107 million worth of Texas roadwork to Primoris in June.
Primoris went public in 2008 after buying about 80% of New York-based blank-check company Rhapsody Acquisition Corp. in a reverse merger.
The company’s ARB Inc. unit does work for utilities, oil and gas companies and others. Customers include Chevron Corp., Sempra Energy, Pacific Gas & Electric Co., BP PLC and ConocoPhillips.
