Apparel company ML Kishigo has moved its headquarters to Fountain Valley.
The company, which makes flame resistant work wear and other safety gear and accessories, had previously been based in Santa Ana. Growth over the past three years spurred the move to a 53,000-squre-foot space on Slater Avenue.
The company since the start of the pandemic has been making washable safety masks for workers in he construction, utility, roadside, emergency services and other essential businesses.
“The new building allows for social distancing, improved facilities for employees, room for growth and future employment opportunities for the local Fountain Valley community,” ML Kishigo General Manager Elke Hirschman said in a statement.
ML Kishigo counted 120 workers companywide as of March of this year, with the majority in OC. The company’s sales in 2019 totaled $42.8 million.
