The Eleventh Annual Orange Catholic Conference on Business & Ethics hosted 750 guests, including notable Southern California luminaries, and brought in $1 million for the renovation of the former Crystal Cathedral.

The event, which took place April 24 at the Irvine Marriott, featured keynote addresses by University of Southern California athletics director Pat Haden and former Los Angeles Mayor Richard Riordan.

Rick Muth, president of Orco Block Co., and Rob Neal Sr., managing partner of Hager Pacific Properties, received the Bishop’s Award for Exemplary Business Integrity.

The Rev. Robert Schuller and his wife, Arvella, received the Farmers & Merchants Bank Lifetime Achievement Award.

The bank, presenting sponsor of the event, donated $1 million to the Orange Catholic Foundation toward the renovation of the Christ Cathedral campus.
