Irvine-based St. John Knits International Inc. received an Above and Beyond Award by the California Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve. St. John was nominated by employee Magul Ahmath, who recently returned from Iraq. Sally Reese, a supervisor at St. John, was given the Seven Seals Award for her coordination of St. John employee efforts, which included monthly care packages for Ahmath and his unit.

Mission San Juan Capistrano held its fifth annual appreciation luncheon for employees and volunteers at El Adobe de Capistrano Restaurant in San Juan Capistrano. In 2009, 300 volunteers dedicated 6,760 hours to the historic landmark and museum. Longtime docents Mary Susa and Tony Moiso, cofounder of the Mission Preserva-tion Foundation and chief executive of Ran-cho Mission Viejo LLC, were given Lifetime Achievement Awards.

National Association of Women Business Owners, Orange County chapter named Trina Fleming Member of the Year. Fleming is a business development manager with Clear Advantage Group in Lake Forest. The association provides sup-port, networking opportunities, educational programs and professional development.

Deborah Klemin, owner of Money Mailer of South Orange Coun-ty, received the Presi-dent’s Club Award during the company’s annual franchise convention at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Huntington Beach. The award recognizes Money Mailer franchisees for their sales during the past year.

Five Crowns in Newport Beach received a WeddingWire 2010 Bride’s Choice Award for its wedding ceremony and reception venue. Winners were selected based on reviews and surveys from more than 500,000 newlyweds.

Dennis Nakata, a paralegal with Costa Mesa-based Rutan & Tucker LLP, received the 2009 Lifetime Ach-ievement Award from the Orange County Par-alegal Association.

The pediatric intensive care unit at Children’s Hospital of Orange County received the Beacon Award for Critical Care Excellence for the second year in a row. The award was presented by the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses.
