Working Wardrobes Leans on Digital

Irvine non-profit Working Wardrobes has begun offering digital webinars to adapt to the coronavirus’ impact on its operations.

The organization said its Rebuilding Careers series consists of video workshops offering viewers advice on job searches, resumes, networking and other career development subjects.

The free series takes place every Tuesday and Thursday and requires pre-registration through the Working Wardobes site.

Working Wardrobes, with 30 years of offering job training and placement help, has had a rugged 2020.

A February fire destroyed its 22,000-square-foot headquarters and everything in it, including donated apparel and office supplies. Some $15 million in losses resulted and caused a temporary move to Goodwill’s Santa Ana facility.

The company in late March then announced cuts affecting more than half its workforce amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
