John Gramata was promoted to vice president of marketing at Garden Grove-based Money Mailer LLC, which focuses on direct marketing. Gramata has been working with the company for two years.

ARTS

The Chance Theater in Anaheim added Mary Kay Fyda-Mar to its board. Fyda-Mar is a program manager at Chica-go-based Boeing Co. She is also a member of Altrusa International Inc. of Anaheim, a grassroots organization that raises money for local charities and performs community service, where she is chairwoman of the literacy committee.

FINANCE

Stephen Minana has been named general counsel at Santa Ana-based First American Trust FSB, a unit of Santa Ana’s First American Corp. that specializes in trusts and investment management. Minana will be responsible for the company’s overall legal strategy and will serve as an adviser to the board and management. He also will continue his position as a vice president and client services manager.

The Institute for Family Wealth Counseling in Newport Beach named Marty Jensen executive director. Jensen has lectured on wealth management and alternative investment topics at graduate business schools such as Harvard University, Cornell University, University of California, Los Angeles, and Yale University.

Doug Ramsthel has been named vice president of Burnham Ben-efits Insurance Services in Irvine. Ramsthel is a member of the Inter-national Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans, a nonprofit organization that educates benefits and compensation professionals. He also is a certified financial planner.

Tustin-based Sunwest Bank added Jeffery Thomas to its board. Thomas is the vice president and western regional director of Texas-based Sage Advisory Services Ltd. and a former mayor of Tustin.

HEALTHCARE

Children’s Hospital Orange County in Orange hired Lynn Grieves as chief compliance officer. Grieves previously was chief compliance officer for Foun-

tain Valley-based Mem-orialCare Health System.

LAW

Benjamin Broderick joined Los Angeles-based Theodora Oringher Miller & Richman PC as a senior lawyer in its Costa Mesa office. Broderick previously worked at Los Angeles-based Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP in its Irvine office. He represents clients in business litigation.

Riverside-based Best Best & Krieger LLP hired Kendra Carney as an associate in its Irvine office. The firm practices environmental, business, education and municipal law.

Shawn Larsen has been promoted to partner at Costa Mesa-based Rutan & Tucker LLP. Larsen joined the firm in 2005 and practices employment law.

NONPROFIT

The Foundation Fighting Blindness Inc. named Dean Gavello president of its Orange County chapter. Gavello is partner at Bennett Group, an executive recruiting firm, in Orange.

Jeff Fields was added to the OC division

board of Los Angeles-based Children’s

Bureau in Anaheim. Children’s Bureau advocates for children, helps families affected

by child abuse, assists with adoption and

foster care and provides other services for children. Fields is an accountant and partner at Holthouse, Carlin & Van Trigt LLP in Costa Mesa.

REAL ESTATE

Ryan Swanson and Andrew Bermudez were promoted to senior vice presidents at Lee & Associates-Irvine Inc. Swanson and Bermudez previously served as vice presidents.

SERVICES

Michelle Gullion was hired as vice president of Britain’s Lea International USA, which recently launched its U.S. headquarters in Costa Mesa. Lea International designs exhibits for trade-shows and other sites.

TECHNOLOGY

Texas-based Hitachi Consulting Corp., part of Japan’s Hitachi Ltd., promoted Rachael Wonson to vice president of sales in its Irvine office.
