ACCOUNTING

Tustin-based Glenn M. Gelman & Associates hired Richard Squar as tax and litigation support director. Squar was a founding partner of Newport Beach accounting firm Squar, Milner, Reehl & Williamson LLP, where he worked until 2002. He ran his own Costa Mesa firm, Squar & Associates, from 2002 to 2009.

ADVERTISING

Hispanic advertising agency Casanova Pendrill Publicidad Inc. in Costa Mesa promoted Elias Weinstock to executive vice president and chief creative officer. Weinstock has worked with Casanova for nearly 10 years and began his career with the agency as vice president, executive creative director.

BANKING

Ken Jameson was hired at San Diego-based California Bank & Trust as vice president and manager of business development for South County in its San Clemente office. Jameson previously worked as vice president and regional manager at Fountain Valley-based Bank of Orange County at its office in Orange.

EDUCATION

The Paul Merage School of Business at the University of California, Irvine, appointed Patricia Soldano and Rick Keller as co-chairs for the advisory board of the Center for Investment and Wealth Management. Soldano is the chairman and president of Florida’s Genspring Family Offices LLC in its Costa Mesa office. Keller is chief executive of First Foundation Advisors in Irvine.

Marilyn Brock was elected as interim president of Coastline Community College in Fountain Valley. Brock previously served as the interim vice president of academic affairs at Cerritos College.

GOVERNMENT

The Municipal Water District of Orange County in Fountain Valley appointed Brett Barbre of Yorba Linda as a representative to serve on the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California’s board. Barbre is principal of public relations firm Barbre & Associates.

Brian Fisk was promoted to director of community services for the city of Irvine. Fisk previously worked as a manager in planning and redevelopment. He has been with the city of Irvine for the past nine.

HEALTHCARE

Saddleback Memorial Medical Center in Laguna Hills hired Ken Dalebout as vice president of strategic planning and business development. Dalebout previously worked at Alliance Oncology, part of Al-liance Healthcare Ser-vices Inc. of Newport Beach.

NONPROFIT

Big Brothers and Big Sisters in Tustin appointed Erik DiPaolo as chairman. DiPaolo is executive director of global resource leveraging for KPMG LLC in Irvine. He has served as a Big Brothers board member for 13 years and is a former Big Brother.

Jeb Baird was appointed to regional vice president for the American Cancer Society Orange County region in Santa Ana. Baird will be responsible for recruiting volunteers, developing corporate partnerships and supporting local fundraising. He joined the group at its Santa Barbara location as director of corporate communications in 2005.

The Orange County Community Foundation in Irvine elected Doug Holte and Anoosheh Oskouian to its board. Holte is president of office properties at Irvine Company in Newport Beach. Oskouian is president and cofounder of Ship & Shore Environ-mental Inc. in Signal Hill.

Orange-based Canyon Acres Children and Family Services elected Herald Herrmann as chairman. Herrmann is president and chief executive of Irvine-based Yard House USA Inc.

REAL ESTATE

Irvine-based Standard Pacific Corp. promoted John Babel to vice president and associate general counsel. The company also promoted Heather Breidenthal to vice president of human resources and Gino Delao to corporate assistant secretary.

TECHNOLOGY

Toshiba America Infor-mation Systems Inc. hired Paul Dempster as director of medical imaging and factory automation for the company’s imaging systems division in Irvine. Dempster previously was president of Northern California’s NAI Tech Products Inc. He will be responsible for overseeing sales, business development and marketing.

Irvine-based Integrien Corp. hired Ian Dodd as vice president of strategy and business development. Dodd previously worked at global operations and enterprise automation for IBM Corp.
