Regenesis has found a way to streamline the blending process to create treatment solutions for what it calls “forever chemicals” in soil and groundwater.
The Inline Blending and Injection System (IBIS) is programmed to mix adjustable ratios of compounds and water together, then delivers that mixture into the field where the contaminants are.
“This is about revolutionizing an industry that hasn’t changed in many years on the injection and application front,” Director of Operations Steve Barnes told the Business Journal.
It’s the latest product to come out of the San Clemente company that was started by the same man who founded Allergan, Gavin Herbert.
Taking Out Human Error
The automated blending machine will replace manually having to measure out and mix reagents with water in large batch tanks. IBIS is said to be capable of processing up to four remediation products.
“We’ve taken out a lot of the human error and automated it,” Barnes said.
The system is shipped from Regenesis’ manufacturing facility directly to project sites in a container measuring six feet tall, nine feet in length and four feet wide that reduces the average footprint of mixing equipment by 60%, according to Barnes.
IBIS also comes with data collection that tracks projects in real-time and inputs data into a spreadsheet for clients.
