Agents Heather Kidder of Arbor Real Estate and Corey Anthony of Surterre Properties Inc. closed the sale of 1991 Port Claridge Place in Newport Beach on July 2.
The 4,450-square-foot new construction house with five bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms on a 7,475-square-foot lot sold for nearly $10.2 million. 1991 Port Claridge Place was on the market for 24 days and, according to Homes.com, sold for 12% less than the list price.
Greg Clarke Construction designed and built the house, which includes a home office, saltwater pool, barbecue island and outdoor entertainment system.
Newport Beach’s Port Streets
There are nearly two-dozen “port” streets in Newport Beach’s East Bluff area, including Port Abbey Place, Port Albans Circle and Port Claridge Place.
The enclave is home to more than 1,000 houses.
“House prices span the range from a cool $2.5 million to a jaw-dropping $12 million and beyond. You see, nearly every home here has undergone a remarkable transformation, shedding its ‘60s and ‘70s-style track construction to emerge as a unique custom masterpiece,” according to the website for Weir Properties, a Corona del Mar brokerage that lists luxury homes in Orange County.
“This diversity in price reflects the diversity in these architectural gems. It’s a community where each year, affluence finds a new level of expression,” the website states. n
