LANDSEA HOMES CORP. 

 

WHY: Dallas-based Landsea Homes Corp. bought a pair of retail properties in Huntington Beach, totaling 6.3 acres, to build 129 townhomes. The property is Landsea’s first acquisition in Surf City. 

IN THE NEWS: Landsea, which in 2023 relocated its headquarters from Newport Beach to Dallas, paid $52M for the retail properties, with plans to convert the land into a residential neighborhood called Essex + Gage.  

QUOTABLE: “There is very high demand for homes in coastal OC, while there is low supply.”
