WHY: Named dean in 2017, after working as a Chapman instructor since 1992. Stepped aside in 2022 after the appointment of Henrik Cronqvist. Has authored numerous published papers on mergers, corporate governance, and compensation. While serving as dean, Argyros launched a master’s in real estate, grew full-time faculty nearly 50%, hosted numerous prominent speakers, including President Bush, and rose faster in the U.S. News & World report rankings than any other business school.
IN THE NEWS: Stepped back into role on interim basis when Cronqvist left position in May.
