WHY: Co-founded in 1998 MeridianLink, a software company that provides software for credit unions, small banks and consumer reporting agencies. Raised $343M when company went public in 2021; now sports $1.3B market cap (NYSE: MLNK). Employee count is 676 as of March. Total Q1 2025 revenue grew by 5% to $81.5M.  

IN THE NEWS: On May 12, he transitioned to the new role of “strategic advisor,” supporting the company’s executive leadership team. The firm said he “championed MeridianLink’s growth, innovation, and culture and will continue to be a valued resource for the entire leadership team.” Troy Coggiola is the firm’s new CSO. Company president Larry Katz assumed the additional role of CEO following the departure of Nicolaas Vlok, effective Oct. 1.  Company told to Centerbridge Partners.

NOTABLE: Came to U.S. as Vietnamese refugee; started business while a student at UCI. Honored with Business Journal Innovator of the Year Award in 2021.
