SHANNON EUSEY

BEACON POINTE
WHY: Co-founded firm in 2002 with her father, Garth Flint, when it had no assets. Has grown firm to $44B+ in assets under advisement, 600+ employees and 60 offices. Heads the nation’s largest female-owned RIA.
NOTABLE: Won several awards, including two from the Business Journal, a Women in Business Award in 2017 and an Excellence in Entrepreneurship Award in 2023. KKR made 50% investment in 2021. Business Journal estimates her firm may be valued at more than $1B. Co-authored a best-selling book, “Your Dollars, Our Sense: a Fun & Simple Guide to Money Matters.” In 2011, the company began its Women’s Advisory Institute, one of the first formal initiatives in the RIA space centered on serving female investors. The company also created a Foundations of Finance course for high school students and partnered with the Girl Scouts to teach financial literacy.
FUN FACT: Competed in the Sydney Marathon and officially completing all seven World Major Marathons. “It was an unforgettable journey that combined discipline, friendships, travel, and the joy of crossing one final finish line.”
QUOTABLE: “When I was six or seven, I played on an all-boys soccer team. I sprinted down the field, found the perfect position, and scored the winning goal. My parents cheered. But nearby, I heard a parent grumble, “Why is a girl even on this team?’ I didn’t fully understand it then, but that moment planted something in me: a deep belief that I deserved to be on the field – and anywhere I was willing to work hard enough to be. That belief has carried me through every chapter of my leadership journey.”
— Shannon Eusey said in May when accepting an award from the Center for Leadership at Cal State Fullerton.
