WHY: The Irvine-based wireless infrastructure company provides open access networks to numerous sites across the U.S., ranging from public transit systems to airports and military bases, as well as sports and entertainment venues. 

IN THE NEWS: Projects include the completion of 80 miles of high-speed fiber in the Greater Bay Area network to boost internet and wireless capacity there. The so-called “Middle-Mile” project is part of the wireless infrastructure provider’s greater Bay Area network, a new high-count 220-mile fiber ring connecting Oakland, San Francisco, Santa Clara and San Jose, among other cities.  The company has also been carrying out a major communications upgrade for the Bay Area Rapid Transit in San Francisco. 

NOTABLE: The company is part of the global Boldyn Networks organization. 

QUOTABLE: The Greater Bay Area network project provides “the critical infrastructure for the future of AI innovation, supports 5G, enables smart cities, and supports marquee events like the World Cup in 2026,” according to Karmis.
