Space tourism company Virgin Galactic Holdings (NYSE: SPCE) Â in Tustin said it plans to send a crew of four to space toward the end of this month, in the first flight in nearly two years.
“Mission specialists will validate the astronaut experience ahead of first commercial flight” scheduled for late June,  the company said in a statement today.
The previous test flight took place in July 2021.
Shares in Virgin Galactic closed up 13% at $4.08 apiece for a market cap of $1.1 billion after the announcement.
