UCI Health, the largest health system in Orange County, today completed its acquisition of four medical centers from Tenet Healthcare Corp. (NYSE: THC) for $975 million.
The acquisition, announced last month, adds 858 inpatient beds to UCI Health.
The four hospitals joining UCI Health are Fountain Valley Regional Hospital, Los Alamitos Medical Center and Placentia-Linda Hospital in Orange County, as well as Lakewood Regional Medical Center in Los Angeles.
“We deeply appreciate the enthusiasm and support we have received since announcing this new chapter for healthcare in our region,” Chad Lefteris, chief executive and president of UCI Health, said in a statement.
“Now, we can begin strengthening the collaboration with local physicians and patients to expand healthcare services and provide unrestricted access for more people.”
