Terran Orbital Corp., which has a major presence in Irvine, says its first satellite has been added to the permanent collection at the Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum.
The induction ceremony will take place on March 15 at the museum on Independence Avenue in Washington, D.C.
The satellite was initially put on permanent display as part of the museum’s One World Connected exhibition in October.
“PropCube is an early entry in a long line of Terran Orbital CubeSat innovations,” according to Florida-based Terran (NYSE: LLAP).
