Irvine-Based MobileX Reaches Walmart Exclusivity Agreement

Company aims to keep consumers connected

MobileX, the no-contract mobile phone service started by OC telecom entrepreneur Peter Adderton, said it has reached a multi-year exclusivity agreement with Walmart.

Irvine-based MobileX first introduced customized prepaid mobile plans in February. They will now be available on the Walmart website and in select stores nationwide.  The plans start at $4.08 per month, with unlimited plans starting at $14.88 per month.

“We created MobileX to keep consumers connected and enhance their mobile experience without breaking the bank,” MobileX CEO Adderton said in a statement. “With Walmart being the retail leader in prepaid wireless in the U.S., this unique partnership is a game-changer for MobileX and validates our service as a best-in-class option for value-oriented consumers.”
