CalAmp Names Chris Adams President, CEO

Irvine-based telematics company CalAmp (Nasdaq: CAMP) said today that tech veteran Chris Adams will join the firm as president and CEO, effective Jan. 22.

Adams has been serving as VP/GM of semiconductor supplier Onsemi (Nasdaq: ON) of Scottsdale, Az.

He succeeds Jeff Gardner, who died in August.

Shares in CalAmp were unchanged at 26 cents apiece for a market cap of $9.9 million.
