Architectural firm Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo has acquired Singapore interior design firm Interior Design Network International Pte. Ltd.
The move was made to strengthen the firm’s ability to meet the expanding needs of clients in Asia, according to a statement from Ronald J. Holecek, WATG’s president and chief executive officer.
Carl Ettensperger, former principal with IDNI, will assume the title of managing director of the Singapore office for WATG.
Ettensperger has worked on hospitality projects for Bali Hyatt Spa, and the Canyon Ranch SpaClub at the Venetian Resort in Las Vegas. IDNI has current projects in Taiwan, Indonesia, India and Nepal.
Honolulu-based Wimberly Allison Tong & Goo’s Newport Beach office ranked No. 3 on the most recent Business Journal list of architectural firms, with $17 million in OC architectural billings for the 12 months ended June 30.
The Newport Beach office has 105 employees, 41 of whom are architects. The firm specializes in hospitality and leisure projects that have included the Four Seasons Hotel Newport Beach and the Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel.
