Sixteen homebuilders guaranteed business to Santa Ana title insurance company First American Corp. in exchange for kickbacks, Colorado insurance regulators told the Denver Post. Costa Mesa’s Warmington Homes, William Lyon Homes and John Laing Homes, both of Newport Beach, were among those named.
