Surf City’s Mission Critical Buys ZeroRPM

Huntington Beach-based Mission Critical Electronics, which makes electric power products under several brands, has purchased ZeroRPM, an Alabama company that specializes in systems to reduce fuel use, including ways to decrease the amount of time that motor vehicle engines are idling and adding to air pollution.

The announcement was made by Windjammer Capital Investors, which counts Mission Critical as one of its portfolio companies.

“We will expand on ZeroRPM’s existing strength in the work truck, government and emergency vehicle markets by bringing their solutions into other specialty vehicle and marine applications,” Mission Critical Chief Executive Kevin Moschetti said in a statement.
