Quiksilver Promotes ‘Vision of Life’ in New Campaign

Huntington Beach-based Quiksilver, fresh out of bankruptcy, launched a “Stay High!” brand campaign to emphasize the apparel and footwear maker’s “vision of life, finding positive and getting stoked.”

The company released a short video featuring numerous team riders, including Mikey Wright, Tom Carroll, Travis Rice, Candide Thovex and Jeremy Flores.

“‘Stay High!’ is not just a call out for Quiksilver,” it said. “It’s a motto for the crews to keep the high in the fields of design, creativity and state of mind, a way to express the deep passion of the company for boardriding and claim its unique approach to life that can be defined as ‘fun first.’”

Grupo Gallegos in Huntington Beach formed a Brand Activation Group that will focus on experiential marketing—messaging you can interact with, such as food sampling at a grocery store. The agency hired Luis Camaño to lead the group. He hails from Alcone Marketing in Irvine, where he served as chief creative officer.

Camaño’s first assignment is for a long-standing Grupo Gallegos client, the California Milk Processor Board in San Clemente. The Spanish-language program engages consumers at retail and experiential events and via digital and social channels, to drive them to try new food pairings with milk.
