ClientWhys Inc. in Newport Beach has launched CountingWorks, a match-making marketplace that allows tax professionals around the country to connect with small businesses. Along with the launch, ClientWhys announced that it would begin its rebranding into CountingWorks Pro.
ClientWhys provides digital marketing technology and services for firms specializing in tax accounting and sole proprietors. Its product suite includes the earlier-launched TaxBuzz, a marketplace that brings individual taxpayers and tax professionals together.
Senior Vice President Brad Cooper said the name change would not affect any services offered and better reflects the company’s small business-focused strategies.
• Fluxor, part of the University of California-Irvine’s Applied Innovation Wayfinder Incubator program, launched an Android version of its sensor data app. It is designed to provide real-time user-generated crowd data—crowd density, wait time and available parking.
Fluxor has not received any outside funding to date, but now hopes to raise $50,000 which will help develop an Apple-friendly adaptation, as well as fund local marketing campaigns.
