With the vintage-inspired trend showing no signs of abating, Anaheim-based retailer Pacific Sunwear of California LLC continues to bolster its collaborations.
The latest is with the Hard Rock Cafe for a limited-edition capsule exclusive to PacSun stores and its online site.
PacSun Chief Merchandising Officer Brie Olson said the Hard Rock deal addresses the current demand for “sought after items of the thrift shopping realm to our stores.”
This follows the summer release to PacSun shoppers of one-of-a-kind, repurposed pieces from Goat Vintage, a purveyor of reworked used clothing. Other recent rollouts include exclusive pieces from rapper DaBaby’s (née Jonathan Lyndale Kirk) recently launched clothing label Billion Dollar Baby. The retailer also continues to roll out new collections via its work with media company Playboy.
The Hard Rock collection includes T-shirts, pullovers, hoodies and hats touting the Hard Rock logo and the cities of its popular locations, drawing inspiration from the ’70s and ’80s.
The range retails from $18 to $60.
PacSun is one of Orange County’s largest retailers and the largest here in the youth-oriented market, counting 375 stores in the U.S. It’s owned by private equity firm Golden Gate Capital and is part of operating company PSEB LLC, which also has Eddie Bauer LLC in its fold.
