Mitsubishi Motors North America Inc. in Cypress selected Newport Beach-based The Brand Amp as its public relations agency of record.
The agency replaced Trivalle Communications LLC in Santa Ana during a bid process. The Brand Amp started working alongside the automaker’s public relations team this month on brand and product communications and support of the company’s media bureau and presence at auto shows.
“We were seeking a partner who would provide smart, strategic thinking and insights, who are media savvy, with creative and strong execution,” Don Swearingen, Mitsubishi’s executive vice president, said in a statement. “The Brand Amp came to the table with a deep understanding of our business needs, and I am confident that no one is better prepared to help amplify our brand and move it forward.”
The Brand Amp, which recently moved its headquarters from Seal Beach, also represents Irvine-based Vizio Inc. and Tustin-based smartphone case maker mophie, among others. It employs 35.
“ … This is an exciting time to be part of the Mitsubishi Motors brand,” said Jerry Archambeault, the agency’s senior strategist.
