SERVICES
Irvine-based CorVel Corp. was up 6.1% to $50.61 and a $990 million market cap. The insurance services provider reported higher revenue and profit in its most recent quarter and full fiscal year, ended March 31.
TECHNOLOGY
Newport Beach-based Clean Energy Fuels Corp. was up 8.4% to $3.63 and a $383 million market cap. The natural gas provider said the city of Santa Monica had awarded the company a 5-year, $15 million contract to provide fuel for its city buses.
HEALTHCARE
Tustin-based Peregrine Pharmaceuticals Inc. was up 30.2% to 56 cents and a $131 million market cap. The cancer treatment developer said contract manufacturing subsidiary Avid Bioservices expects $50 million to $55 million in revenue in fiscal year 2017, up from 2016’s $44 million; the 2016 figure had topped 2015 revenue of $27 million. Peregrine said Avid has a $56 million backlog of client orders.
