The S&P 500 rose 0.23% to 2,001.22 in midday trading Friday.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average was flat at 17,078.02 and the Nasdaq rose 0.37% to 4,574.41.
The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond was up 0.17% to 2.34%.
The price of gold was down 0.19% to $1,288.
APPAREL
Anaheim-based Pacific Sunwear of California Inc. was down 8.7% to $2.10 and a market cap of $144.7 million. The company said it would lose $0.04 to $0.09 a share in its third quarter on revenue of $203 million to $208 million. Analysts’ consensus was for a loss of $0.02 a share on revenue of $207 million.
SERVICES
Santa Ana-based collectibles authenticator Collector’s Universe Inc. was up 1.8% to $20.24 and a market cap of $178 million. It reported operating income for its fourth quarter increased 15% to $3.8 million compared to $3.3 million last year, while full fiscal year revenue was up 31% to $12.5 million in 2014 compared to $9.5 million in 2013.
