The S&P 500 fell 0.13% to 1,997.55 in midday trading Thursday.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.20% to 17,086.92 and the Nasdaq fell 0.18% to 4,561.58.
The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond fell 1.06% to 2.34%.
The price of gold was up 0.56% to $1,290.60.
APPAREL
Irvine-based Tilly’s Inc. was down 6.2% to $7.99 and a market cap of $224 million after it reported flat revenue for its second quarter and lower earnings per share compared to the same period last year. Tilly’s third quarter guidance is for $0.09 to $0.13 compared to analysts’ consensus of $0.19
EDUCATION
Santa Ana-based Corinthian Colleges Inc. was down 8.3% to $0.16 and a market cap of $14.4 million. It said it resolved a lease dispute with its landlord for which the latter had sued Corinthian for $381,000.
