Midday Stock Roundup

The S&P 500 was up 0.2% to 4,442.69 during midday trading.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.4% to 35,239.18.

The Nasdaq dropped 0.3% to 14,817.22.

The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond climbed 1.7% to 1.341%.

The price of gold increased 0.2% to $1,730.40.

The price for a barrel of oil jumped 3.2%  to $68.58.

TECHNOLOGY

Irvine-based WM Technology Inc. (Nasdaq: MAPS), the parent to Weedmaps, an Irvine-based online provider of the locations of cannabis dispensaries, rose 5% to $15.65 per share for a market cap of $1.9 billion. The company earlier today announced the launch of the brand’s enhanced iOS app that now includes ordering functionality.
 

HEALTHCARE

Medicare Advantage insurance provider Alignment Healthcare Inc. (Nasdaq: ALHC) fell 8.8% to $18.44 per share for a market cap of $3.4 billion. The company yesterday reported a second-quarter net loss of $44.8 million, while the shares have risen less than 1% since the company went public in March.
