RESTAURANTS
Del Taco Restaurants Inc. (Nasdaq: TACO) shares plummeted 16% to $8.10 and a $300 million market cap after reporting third earnings that largely missed analysts’ expectations. Earnings of 10 cents per share missed the Zacks consensus estimate of 14 cents per share by nearly 29%. Shares for the Lake Forest-based fast food chain, trading today at about six times their daily average volume, are down 22% since the start of the year.
TECHNOLOGY
Irvine-based Alteryx Inc. (NYSE: AYX) was down 4% to $89.08 and a $5.7 billion market cap. Shares for the data analytics company have plunged 40% since the beginning of September, which some analysts are attributing more to market dynamics than any company-specific catalyst. Shares are still up 51% since the start of the year.
