Midday Stock Roundup

The S&P 500 was down 0.2% at 2,918.91 in midday trading.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.1% to 26,120.45.

The Nasdaq decreased 0.1% to 7,999.16.

The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond fell 2.8% to 1.55%.

The price of gold increased 0.2% to $1,515.

The price for a barrel of oil fell 0.2% to $56.10.

RESTAURANTS

Del Taco Restaurants Inc. (Nasdaq: TACO) in Lake Forest rose as much as 9.2% to $12.06 and a $447 million market cap. StreetInsider.com said the Mexican-themed fast food chain has hired investment bankers to explore a possible sale.

TECHNOLOGY

Irvine-based software maker Alteryx Inc. (NYSE: AYX) rose 2.7% to $135.75 and an $8.8 billion market cap. CFO Kevin Rubin was quoted by a capital markets research site saying the market for data analysis tools is “ginormous” and there will be M&A activity in the area.
