Midday Stock Roundup

The S&P 500 was down 0.6% in midday trading to 2,579.01.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 0.6% to 23,424.64.

The NASDAQ fell 0.9% to 6,726.96

The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond ticked up 0.1% to 2.33%.

The price of gold rose 0.3% to $1,287.

HEALTHCARE

CareTrust REIT Inc. (Nasdaq: CTRE) in San Clemente was down 3.4% to $18.84 and a $1.5 billion market cap. The healthcare and senior housing facility developer and owner reported higher revenue and net income year-over-year for its most recent quarter but said some rents in Ohio would decrease in the short-term due to changes in the leasing structure of the properties.

Ensign Group Inc. (Nasdaq: ENSG) in Mission Viejo was up 2.2% to $23.48 and a $1.2 billion market cap. The skilled nursing and assisted living operator reported higher revenue and net income for the quarter.

FINANCE

Impac Mortgage Holdings Inc. (NYSE: IMH) in Irvine was down 4.8% to $11.65 and a $243 million market cap. The mortgage lender reported revenue of $42 million, GAAP net earnings of $2.3 million and adjusted operating income of $114,000 in its most recent quarter, compared with revenue of $104 million, GAAP net earnings of $16.5 million, and adjusted operating income of $47.4 million in the same period last year.

RETAIL

Boot Barn Holdings Inc. (NYSE: BOOT) in Irvine was up 7.4% to $12.04 and a $320 million market cap on high volume. Shares in the western wear chain have risen about 40% over the last five sessions.
