The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond rose 1.8% to 2.31%.
The price of gold fell 0.9% to $1,266.

Opus Bank in Irvine was up 3.8% to $22.67 and an $843 million market cap in a second day of increases after a positively received quarterly report. The bank holding company also said today it would expand its merchant banking work in the area of commercial real estate.
FOOD
Evans Brewing Co. Inc. was up 13% to $2.04 and a $9.8 million market cap on higher-than average volume for the lightly traded company. The craft brewer runs a restaurant and plans to add beer-based food products for grocery stores.
