Midday Stock Roundup

The S&P 500 was down 0.1% in midday trading to 2,172.68.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 0.2% to 18,445.44.

The NASDAQ was down 0.1% to 5,214.92.

The yield on a 10-year Treasury bond was up 1.2% to 1.58%.

The price of gold was down 0.4% to $1,325.

TECHNOLOGY

Irvine-based Western Digital Corp. was up 3% to $46.77 and $13.2 billion market cap. Mizuho reiterated a “buy” rating on the memory products maker with a price target of $54 and yesterday, HP Inc., formerly Hewlett Packard Co., noted “some shortages” in memory products in an earnings call yesterday.

RETAIL

Irvine-based Tilly’s Inc. was up 8% to $7.65 and a $218 million market cap. The youth apparel retailer beat analyst expectations yesterday in its quarterly earnings report.

AUTOMOTIVE

Irvine-based Autobytel Inc. was down 4.3% to $16.23 and a $175 million market cap. The company provides sales leads to auto dealers; Amazon today introduced a searchable site for new and used cars called Amazon Vehicle.

HEALTHCARE

Mission Viejo-based Aeolus Pharmaceuticals Inc. was down 22% to 18 cents on high volume. The company develops drugs to treat fibrosis, oncology, infectious and central nervous system diseases.
