Midday Stock Roundup

The S&P 500 was up 0.5% to 3,091.2 at midday trading.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average also saw positive change of 0.9% to 27,726.6.

Nasdaq also rose 0.6% to 8,463.1.

Crude oil increased 2.3% to $57.62 a barrel.

Gold fell 1.8% to $1,465.6.

The yield on a 10-Year bond rose 7.1% to 1.942%.

HEALTHCARE

San Clemente-based ophthalmology company Glaukos (Nasdaq: GKOS) saw shares slide 8.3% to $57.28 a share with a $2 billion market cap. Glaukos yesterday reported third quarter sales rose 33% to $58 million.

Endologix Inc. (Nasdaq: ELGX) stock rose 6% to $2.80 a share and a $45 million market cap. The Irvine maker of treatments for aortic disroders yesterday reported third quarter results that topped consensus analyst estimates for revenue. The company showed a return “to annualized growth while effectively managing our expenses and meaningfully reducing our quarterly cash burn to less than $5 million,” CEO John Onopchenko said in a statement. The company’s shares have fallen about 95% in the past 18 months.

Axonics Modulation Technologies Inc. (Nasdaq: AXNX) saw its stock decrease 4.7% to $22.08 a share with a $648 million market cap following the announcement of a lawsuit filed by Medtronic for patent infringement. Earnings will be reported Nov. 14.
