Irvine beauty brand Manna Kadar Cosmetics is on a roll.
The fast-growing business—founded, owned and operated by the woman from which it gets its name—capped 2019 in a big way with new distribution deals that continue to expand the reach of the brands in its stable.
CEO Kadar confirmed her cosmetics have launched in Urban Outfitters and Bed, Bath & Beyond.
Beauty retailer Ulta’s online shop now carries her bath and body products as well as the company’s men’s brand. Kadar said she expects her products to be in Ulta physical stores in the third quarter.
The company has two cosmetics lines, Manna Kadar Bath & Body, Haute Dog, Mason Man Skincare and Beauty & the Bump. These collectively generated $6.5 million in revenue for the 12 months through June 30, 2019, a 41% increase from 2017. That was good for No. 30 on last year’s list of the Business Journal’s fastest-growing private companies with revenue under $10 million.
Rollout at the latest round of retailers should significantly boost 2020 sales volume further.
The company now does business across a mix of channels that have included more traditional brick-and-mortar retailers, its own direct-to-consumer online channels and subscription box companies such as FabFitFun and Birchbox.
The founder remains committed to growing the business on her own, with no interest in equity partners.
