Santa Ana-based Ingram Micro Inc. furthered its reach in the Middle East by acquiring the assets of Arabian Applied Technology, the largest value-added reseller in Saudi Arabia.
Financial terms of the deal were undisclosed, but Ingram said the company will add about $200 million in annual revenue and will be “modestly accretive” to earnings this year.
The business, which will operate as Aptec Saudi Arabia under Ingram’s Middle East, Turkey and Africa business region, offers data center, storage, security, networking and software services.
Value-added resellers are essentially technology consultants that sell goods and services to businesses.
Ingram is the world’s largest distributor of technology products with revenue of $46.4 billion last year and sprawling operations.
