Hyundai Motor America Inc. calls its showroom on Amazon “the future of car shopping.”
New updates to that online experience seek to make good on that statement.
The Fountain Valley automaker said new enhancements to the showroom it calls Hyundai Evolve, which launched in 2018 on the e-commerce giant’s platform, lets car buyers view vehicles available at dealerships and even start the process of picking their vehicle through Amazon.
Visitors to the showroom will find a carousel of images touting Hyundai vehicle models. Once a model is selected, shoppers are then taken to a prompt that lets them select options such as interior and exterior colors, locate a dealer, find the estimated monthly payment and then contact the dealer.
The showroom also includes informational articles on the company’s maintenance programs, warranty and Amazon Alexa’s integration with the Hyundai Bluelink connected car technology.
“The events of the last 18 months have made it clear that many consumers want a car buying process that aligns with how they purchase nearly everything else in their life. Amazon is a leading retailer and we’re excited to continue collaborating with them on digital retail experiences,” President and CEO José Muñoz said.
Muñoz said the company is focused on a “seamless, digital and transparent retail experience” for customers.Â
