HyperX is getting a set of wings.
The gaming unit of Fountain Valley-based Kingston Technology Co. was named the exclusive supplier for Red Bull’s esports tournaments and events last month.
HyperX said it will provide headsets, keyboards, mice, mouse pads, DRAM and SSD for all of Red Bull’s events throughout this year and offer products for the Red Bull Esports Arena in Santa Monica, as well as to Red Bull’s athletes and key players.
The gaming unit is Kingston’s fastest-growing business line; it has shipped more than 60 million memory components and 5 million gaming headsets since 2002, when it introduced its first memory products geared for gamers, computer enthusiasts and systems builders.
HyperX sponsors more than 30 organizations, 90 professional gaming teams and 550 professional players, as well as several top-tier esports tournaments and events around the world, including Eleague and Intel Extreme Masters.
