What’s to come of the Monarch Beach Resort following its record-setting sale to Ohana Real Estate Investors LLC?
The 800,000-square-foot property, which includes the 400-room hotel, a private beach club and the Monarch Beach Golf Links, has seen significant investment under its previous owners, KSL Resorts.
Still, a major change is said to be in the works now under the new ownership, which previously ran the Montage Laguna Beach.
Ohana, an investment group founded by eBay’s Pierre Omidyar, is said to be in talks with management companies to rebrand the property.
Several industry sources pointing to the Four Seasons as a potential new flag.
Sources close to the deal also note that no new branding deal has been finalized, and KSL will continue to run the property for the time being.
Others indicate a new deal could be struck by 2021.
