Family Firms Honored

Members of the Orange County business community gathered at Hotel Irvine for the Business Journal’s 19th annual Family-Owned Business Awards on June 14.

Al Baldwin, chairman of Baldwin & Sons in Newport Beach, delivered the keynote address. The homebuilding firm was honored for longevity at the same event last year.

This year’s honorees are:

• Far West Industries, a homebuilder based in Santa Ana, in the small-business category.

• R&B Wire Products in Santa Ana, a manufacturer of laundry and janitorial transportation equipment, in the midsize business category.

• BakerStone International, a cooking products maker in Santa Ana, as an up-and-coming company.

• SeneGence International Inc., a Foothill Ranch-based skincare and cosmetics company, in the large-business category.

• Hi-Time Wine Cellars, a wine retailer in Costa Mesa, for longevity.

The Business Journal will profile the honorees in its June 25 print edition.
