San Clemente-based VertiFlex Inc. raised about $15.2 million from six investors. It makes minimally invasive devices to treat spinal disorders.
The company’s Superion Interspinous Spacer received premarket approval from the Food and Drug Administration in May 2015 to treat moderate lumbar spinal stenosis.
VertiFlex also makes the Totalis Direct Decompression system.
It’s raised $108 million—about $84 million in equity and $24 million in debt—in 10 funding rounds since 2007.
The investors in the latest funding round weren’t disclosed in the Securities and Exchange Commission filing.
